Bringing Back the Three-Fifths Clause

Minnesota Palin signed The Pledge, which, among other things contains this gem:
Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President.

Wonder if the same applies to slave-owners. Actually, when you look at the divorce rates in the Bible Belt, it withstands scrutiny.

Therefore, we can make a case for bringing back slave-ownership. After all, slave owners were not getting divorced like this when they owned slaves.

Freedom is just not as good as slavery anymore.

I don't even know where to start with this one.

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families" WTF? How many African American families were there before slavery? How many African families were allowed to stay together during slavery? I don't know what to say, its just too ridiculous!

Michelle Bachmann is all for slavery - in the form of pregnant foster children for whose care the Bachmann's also received federal funding. That Shelley sure knows how to work it...

But if she makes those young mothers get married and stay married, won't it cut off her source of income?
