Bible: We are all invisible!

Genesis 1:27

King James Version (KJV)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

If you disagree, explain why. Remember, the "out of context" dodge does not hold, unless you also renounce citing John 3:16, for example.

In high school (nearly 40 years ago) I was sure that passage was proof that god loved transgender people who, sort of like me, didn't dress in accordance with traditional requirements for males & females.

I dress frumpy, according to my ex-husband, and walk like a football player, according to my mother. WTF does that all mean, anyway? I never did get it.

I like to wear pants, comfortable (i.e., sensible) shoes, big thick warm shirts and sweaters, and would not wear a bra if my breasts weren't the size of cow udders (even though I love my breasts and think they are the most entertaining and functional and delightful things ever made). Yeah, they're mine and I share them whenever I can.

As this very European and eclectic guy told me when I lived in Seattle, "women here wear Army boots, but they're not like that in bed."

Anyway, with that passage, as much as I thought it meant god loved LGBT people, I could never get anyone to buy into the idea.

I decided they all could not handle the idea that god loved LGBT and that they were all secretly LGBT who couldn't admit it.

I haven't seen anything in the last four decades to prove me wrong.
