This irony is just too rich for me

Here is a story from Colorado, which is kinda karmic justice or sweet irony, whichever tickles your private parts.

A man named Sullivan was arrested and detained in the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility.

ah ha ha!

No seriously, Sullivan was arrested and detained. Drugs were involved.

Yeah, but Sullivan being put in the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility, c'mon that's funny!

I see that you are easily amused.

Sullivan in Sullivan is amusing!

What if I told you that that the Sullivan is Patrick J. Sullivan Jr.

Wait, what? The Sullivan who was arrested has the same name as the detention facility?

More than that, it is same friggin' Sullivan!

WHAT?!

Yes, Patrick J. Sullivan Jr., a Republican (as if you did not see that coming), was arrested on charges of trying to sell meth to a man for sex. He also happens to be Arapahoe County sheriff from 1984 to 2002 and was named national Sheriff of the Year in 2001.

Tell me you saw that coming!

That's sort of like Lou Gehrig getting Lou Gehrig's disease. Although now they're thinking that Lou Gehrig actually didn't die of Lou Gehrig's disease, which would really suck if you think about it.

On the other hand, it makes total sense to name prisons after people who spent time in them. You know, the Al Capone Correctional Facility.

Usually the naming happens after they are in them, or have contracted the disease, but I see your point.

As the person who caused the Palinization of the Republican Party, Sarah Palin, would say, "Unflippin' believable! Why do the Haters in the lamestream media keep printing these true pink-panty stories? Journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. No, Todd did not keep overrun materials from the Pat Sullivan for my fence in Scottsdale!"

So, Bretta, you are going to "shoot the messenger". I find it even more ironic that most Republican sex scandals involve homosexuality. I wonder if the ex-sheriff supports "same sex marriage", lol!
