This Bears Repeating

"Liberals aren't afraid to argue evolution with her, but instead see her as an unqualified, clueless twit who isn't even capable of addressing the actual substance of an argument."

People trying to argue about the scientific theory of evolution from a point of view that does not include any education in science, or even with knowledge of the basic principles of how science develops hypotheses, how scientists work for years, in concert, to go step by step building concepts, affirming, confirming, retesting and verifying, before ever accepting a thesis as a theory; those people irritate me.

There is no place to start with them. They only re-assert what Mark Twain stated: you cannot teach a pig to sing - it just wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Apparently Ann Coulter has proved to me again what a pig she is - at this point, though, it is only my hypothesis.

Currently, it is a custom to ask the Republicans in a presidential debate how many reject evolution. The numbers seem to go up each time. Every knuckle dragger is vying for the wingnut vote.

The problem is that the way the mainstream media fails to highlight the ignorance of the ones rejecting it, it emboldens them.

To the point where no one will ask the questions of the Republicans, and they'll start asking it of the Democrats.

THAT would be the scary moment.
