Remember when Obama drew a line in the sand and said that he will veto any debt ceiling bill that does not contain revenues increases?
Well, the proposed one that is about to pass has no revenue increases.
The drum beat of the fine print is getting louder. Apparently he did not quite say that. What he supposedly said was that he would veto any short term bill, or any bill that extended tax cuts for the wealthy with only spending cuts.
That too fails to pass the threat taste. And it is worse. He is no longer using the phrase "revenue increases". It is now "tax reform". His line in the sand is now "tax reform or I veto".
Guess what that means. Tax cuts for the wealthy are around the corner.
